At the same time, silver has been adopted as an antimicrobial material and disinfectant that is relatively free of adverse effects. Silver nanoparticles possess a board spectrum of antibacterial, antifungal and antiviral properties including several multidrug resistant (MDR) microorganisms. Silver nanoparticles have the ability to penetrate bacterial cell walls, changing the structure of cell membranes and even resulting in cell death. Their efficacy is not only due to volume. They can increase the permeability of cell membranes, produce reactive oxygen species, and interrupt replication of deoxyribonucleic acid by releasing silver ions. Green synthesis of silver nanoparticles employing either biological microorganisms or plant extracts has emerged as a simple and alternative method to chemical synthesis. Green synthesis method provides advancements over chemical methods as it is environmental friendly and cost effective. Plant extracts-mediated synthesis of silver nanoparticles can be advantageous because here terpenoids, flavonoids, etc. are used as reducing and capping agent, which are present in plant extract. In our work, we have used ultrasound/visible light/stirring as an source, water as a solvent and plant extract as a reducing and capping agent to reduce silver ions. So the whole process id eco-friendly in approach and pocket friendly to most of consumers. Antimicrobial fabric can cut off the pathways of microbes to prevent the propagation of pathogen on textiles, so as to effectively avoid the contact between pathogens and the human body, and reduce the risk of human pathogens and cross-infection rates. The purpose of our work is to present an innovative textile material with high bactericide, fungicide and virucide efficiency by the incorporation of silver nanoparticles through green synthesis.
